Surrendered News and Recaps

This coming Monday, September 1st is Labor Day. The office will be closed and Surrendered will not be meeting. Normally we have a Labor Day BBQ but this year we’ve decided not to have it. See you guys the following Monday September 8th.

White Water Rafting was a lot of fun. Only two people drowned…just kidding. We were blessed with a safe, fun, and blessed trip on the American river. It was a great opportunity for fellowship and getting to know each other. Check out the photos…we’ll have more coming of us going through the rapids.

Our Memorial Day BBQ was a lot of fun. Even thought the weather was cold for a BBQ it was still a good time to fellowship over a meal. Check out the photos.

The “Surrendered Spotlight” at the bottom left of the page is where various ministries and events get highlighted. Click and see what we have the “spotlight” on…

This Friday’s (4-11-08) “Behind The Veil” meeting will be a little different. Brian will be having a time of Q & A. So come ready with questions about the Bible, life, or ministry. He’ll spend 30 minutes answering questions.

On Saturday, March 22 Surrendered took a ministry day trip to Tijuana (check out the photos). The team met up at 5:30 A.M. and caravanned across the border alongside Spectrum Ministries to minister to an impoverished community in Tijuana. We dispersed produce to families and set up grooming tents where children were able to get showers, new clothes, toys, hair cuts, and checked for lice. Ministering in this practical way helps build relationships with the communities which opens doors for the furtherance of the gospel. It was a long day, but a blessing to “strive together for the faith of the gospel” (Philippians 1:27).

Diana Waddell was a blessing this past Monday (3/10) even though she was only able to share in worship for the second set. We’d like to get your feedback on her or any other musical artists you think would be a blessing to have out. Let us know by contacting us through our email on this site and “throw in your two cents.”

Our blog has recently been updated. We will be blogging more frequently in the future…check it out.

On January 31 we were able to minister at Cal Poly Pomona. Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU) invited Brian Gonzales to share from the Word. It was a blessing to get connected with young adults through this campus ministry. We’re looking forward to more of this in the future. If you’re a college student pray and consider how Surrendered could minister at your campus. Contact us if you think we would be a blessing at your school (click on our “Contact Us” link for our contact info).

Our fellowship banquet at Claim Jumper last month (Jan 26) was a blessing. It was refreshing to fellowship together over a meal and enjoy each others company. Sometimes we neglect the “breaking of bread” aspect of Acts 2:42. When we have events like this it helps us keep in mind that we are a family and fellowship is necessary for edification. Photos of the event are coming soon.
